Sprint 2 Complete – A Massive Leap in Content & Capability

We’re excited to close out 2024 with a major accomplishment: the successful completion of Sprint 2 in the SENSO3D project

The past two months have been transformative. We’ve scaled our AI capabilities, expanded our 3D content repository, and built two immersive demo environments that bring our vision to life. As we head into the final phase of development, SENSO3D is positioned as a powerful, flexible toolset for next-gen AR/VR content creation.

1300+ 3D Models and Counting!

One of the standout achievements this month is the expansion of our AI objectclassification system. Our detection models now identify and classify 50+ object types,enabling scene construction with far greater detail and diversity

Over 1300 assets — including:

  • Furniture (chairs, desks, couches)
  • Electronics (screens, laptops, speakers)
  • Decor (plants, lighting, art pieces)
  • Architecture (walls, ceilings, windows, doors)

Each model is tagged with detailed metadata, optimized for Unity/WebXR, and can beeasily searched, imported, and integrated. The entire collection is compatible with our AI scene-generation workflows, creating seamless possibilities for auto-generated environments.

Two Immersive Demo Environments Ready to Explore

We’ve launched a new sparse-view reconstruction pipeline, designed to build realistic 3D models from as few as one or two 2D images. This is a major leap toward usability for non-technical users.

We’re proud to unveil two fully functional demo scenes built with Unity:

VR Lobby

  • Interactive screen displays
  • Modular furniture layout
  • Real-time lighting customization

VR Conference Room

  • Multi-user ready setup
  • Audio-visual equipment integrated
  • Configurable table and seating layout

Both environments support AI-populated content, VR interaction, and are built for demonstration, simulation, and remote collaboration.

Enhanced AI Capabilities

Sprint 2 brought huge improvements to our AI stack:

  • 2D-to-3D Reconstruction now reaches 92% accuracy, even with sparse input views
  • Texture Mapping AI synthesizes realistic surfaces from object descriptions
  • Scene Population Engine detects and describes objects from 2D inputs and recommends matching 3D assets

Together, these tools bring SENSO3D closer to automated scene creation from a single image or prompt.

Real-Time Unity Workflows

Our development pipeline is now fully integrated with Unity:

  • Automated asset import & standardization
  • Metadata-aware object snapping
  • Real-time physics, lighting, and navigation setup

This workflow reduces manual steps by over 70%, allowing faster iteration and live scene generation.

What’s Next in Sprint 3?

As we enter the final development sprint in January, our focus shifts to:

  • Finalizing the prompt-based scene creation tool
  • Completing system testing and performance optimization
  • Preparing for real-world testing and CORTEX2 integration
  • Generating the business and exploitation plan

Sprint 3 is all about polish, performance, and preparing SENSO3D for the hands of creators.
